Moldova unlikely to trouble Austrian defence

Moldova ended a 20-game winless run by beating Azerbaijan in their last outing but it is hard to see them building on that victory when a strong Austria side visit in World Cup qualifying on Wednesday.

That win over Azerbaijan also ended a nine-game winless streak on home soil, but Austria are a good team who took eventual champions Italy to extra time at Euro 2020 after a goalless 90 minutes and I’m expecting a fairly comfortable away win here.

Austria lost 1-0 in England before the Euros but prior to that had a strong record away from home with one draw and four wins in five games.  Their three most recent away wins have been to nil, and with that in mind a 2-0 win for the visitors is my correct score bet in this match-up.
