    Tip Reasoning

Monaco’s excellent season continued on Friday when they beat Lorient 3-0 away from home to make it six games unbeaten in all competitions. It also continued their fantastic goalscoring form in recent times, with that making it a huge 19 goals in their last five games.

The much maligned Chelsea and Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao has been one of the major driving forces behind this. He has netted six goals in his last five games to make it seven goals in nine appearances in all competitions. If you’re looking for anytime goalscorer predictions, him and the five goals of Fabinho are very good choices.

This excellent form, barring a few bad days at the office, have left them top of the Ligue 1 table on goal difference and top of their Champions League group as well. A win here would seal qualification to the next round of the competition and could seal the top spot, depending on Bayer Leverkusen’s result against CSKA Moscow.

Tottenham Hotspur could cause them a problem though. The visitors have been in very poor form recently but returned to winning ways on Saturday, thanks to two incredibly late goals from Harry Kane, turning a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win against West Ham.

This ended a seven match winless streak in all competitions, with two defeats to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen. Prior to this they also lost to Monaco in their Champions League opener, which leaves them 3rd in the group and in dire need of a win to keep their chances of qualification alive. If they lose and Bayer Leverkusen win they’ll be out of the tournament.

I think it will be difficult for Spurs in this one. Monaco are unbeaten at home this season and have won eight of their ten matches in all competitions. They have scored an impressive 30 goals in these ten matches and conceded just eight, keeping a clean sheet in four of them. Odds of 11/8 for a Monaco win look like a good value bet for our main predictions, whilst a 2-1 correct score prediction at 17/2 is another option to back.
