      Nacional vs Sporting Lisbon Predictions

Nacional have just one win in their last eight games, though they’ve drawn three of those matches. They’ve played some good teams tough, including a 3-2 loss to Braga, but they are lingering dangerously close to the Portuguese Primeira Liga’s relegation zone.

It doesn’t get any easier for them on Saturday when they host Sporting Lisbon, a team that will have an opportunity to return to the top of the Primeira Liga table after Benfica slipped up against FC Porto. Their form has been so-so though, they were held to a 0-0 by Rio Ave last weekend, only two games after failing to beat Tondela.

      Head-to-Head

The two teams have drawn three of the last four games where Nacional were the home side, while Sporting Lisbon have won the last three games between the two teams, including a 1-0 home win earlier this season.

      Team News

Nuno Campos could return to Nacional’s defence, while Jota should be back from illness in the midfield. The potential absence of Edinaldo Gomes Naldo is a big loss to Sporting, who have a relatively long questionable list including Paulo Oliviera, Andre Carrillo and Bruno Jacinto da Silva.

      Reason for Betting Tips

Everything is set for an upset here. Sporting Lisbon are not playing their best football and they’ll be watching the standings very carefully, they haven’t been great on the road and they come up against an increasingly desperate Nacional who have a pretty good record against the giants at home. Look for this game to stay competitive and close.
