Home comforts should see Napoli through

Avoiding a defeat will be enough to see Napoli join group winners Real Madrid in the knockout stages of the Champions League and our prediction is for them to finish the job comfortably.

Current form isn’t great for the Naples outfit who lost to Real Madrid after conceding two very late goals in the Bernabeu, were well beaten by Serie A leaders Inter and fell to a 1-0 loss at Juventus despite enjoying 66 percent of possession.

That loss at Juve last Friday saw them manage just one shot on target but they should improve on that against a Braga side who have kept just one clean sheet in their last 18 outings.

Braga have to win to go through from the group and that could leave them open to counter attacks from the Italians.

We predict a home win at the Diego Maradona Stadium with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

Braga’s matches have been open affairs this season and 12 of their last 13 have seen both teams get on the scoresheet.

The Portuguese side have to beat Napoli and try to rescue a three-goal difference in the table to have any chance of progressing. That looks a tall order but securing a draw should be enough to seal them securing a consolation prize of a Europa League spot for finishing third in group.

That should see them give it a good go on Tuesday night but we predict the Italians to be too strong at home and a 3-1 win for the home side is our correct-score prediction.
