Norwich vs Stoke Predictions
Norwich overcame a, quite simply, horrendous Sunderland defence the past weekend to claim their first points of the Premier League campaign.
Martin, Whittacker, and Redmond all took advantage of an extremely disorganised and uncompetitive Sunderland team to claim a 3-1 victory, and it could have easily been more.
This was a welcome win after their opening day 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace, which saw a neat goal controversially ruled out due to a high boot.
Norwich do look like a side that are capable of remaining in the Premier League for longer than one season, but only time will tell if they can get the results when it matters the most.
Stoke have done some serious business in the transfer market this summer, bringing in numerous attack minded players to try and inject some more quality into their play going forward.
Their line up in front of goal now looks very promising indeed. Bojan, Diouf, Arnautovic, Joselu and Odemwingie will all be battling for the striking positions. Behind them, the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Ibrahim Afellay could be flanking the strikers after coming in from Inter Milan and Barcelona respectively.
However, Bojan and Odemwingie are expected to miss the clash with Norwich, whilst Shaqiri is still suspended after carrying a ban over from Italy with him.
It’s still a pretty good front line though, and once the new signings gel in with the team they will be a formidable side to defend against.
They went 2 goals down to Tottenham at the weekend, but Diouf and Arnautovic scored in the last 15 minutes to earn a well deserved point for the side after their 1-0 opening day defeat to Liverpool.
Considering their performance at White Hart Lane, I think that Stoke can definitely pick up a win at Carrow Road. Odds of 5/4 for a Stoke Win (Draw No Bet) look like very good value odds as well.
