Tangerines could repeat March success at The Kassam
Both of these sides finished the regular League 1 campaign strongly but it’s Blackpool who are handed the vote for this Tuesday’s Play-Off semi-final first leg on account of their 0-2 success at The Kassam Stadium in late March.
There really is little to separate the teams on current form, with Oxford securing their Play-Off berth fairly late in the piece thanks to six wins from their last seven games, while Blackpool ended their season with four straight wins to claim third.
Neil Critchley’s men triumphed a shade cosily though at this venue just weeks ago, so we’re keen to back the visitors in the draw no bet market for this week’s action.
The Tangerines are 7/10 favourites to progress through the tie and punters should be encouraged by the fact they’ve lost just two of their last 22 matches, winning 13, while they’ve also won seven of their last nine outings on the road.
This could be tighter than the last encounter but based on that last meeting, Blackpool look more than capable of clinching some form of positive result this Tuesday to set themselves up nicely for the return leg.
A stalemate would also mean no loss of stake, although we think Pool can pinch a 0-1 victory and that’s our recommendation in the correct score market.
