No Morata for meek Milan

AC Milan could stumble again at Parma on Saturday after starting their Serie A campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to Torino last weekend. Two very late goals from substitutes Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor rescued a home point for the Rossoneri in wholly unconvincing style.

Worse news was to follow for Paulo Fonseca after it emerged that summer striker signing Morata would be out for a matter of weeks. Although, Milan’s weak defence could have been a bigger concern for the Portuguese coach as Torino’s strikers towered above them whenever the ball was crossed in the air.

Parma would have celebrated a win at home to Fiorentina on their Serie A return had it not been for the profligacy of their front players. Valentin Mihaila missed a couple of good first-half chances while Simon Sohm struck the underside of the crossbar and substitute Wylan Cyprien fluffed a golden chance to win it late on.

1-1 scoreline could repeat

As it was, a 1-1 draw gives the Crusaders something to build on and they will certainly expect to create a few chances against this Milan side.

Each of the last four Parma home league games have finished one goal apiece and it’s hard to get away from that scoreline when thinking of correct score markets given the regularity that both teams score when these two play.
