Partick Thistle vs St Johnstone Predictions
Partick Thistle endured a terrible start to the season when they failed to win any of their opening ten matches, and their occupancy of 10th position in the Scottish Premiership suggests that they still haven’t recovered from this poor start. However, they have managed to get some decent results over the past few months, and they come into this game having lost just three of their last eight in all competitions. One two of these have been wins though, which means they are still struggling to escape the threat of relegation. A host of postponements does mean that they have four games in hand over the two teams above them though.
St Johnstone have had a completely different season to the hosts. They won ten of their first 16 matches in all competitions and put themselves in a good position. However, their win against Motherwell on Friday ended a run of nine games without a win in which they lost seven times. They are just a point behind 4th place Ross County in 5th though, so they will be hoping to leapfrog them on Tuesday.
Reasons for Betting Tips
Partick Thistle, despite their inconsistent form, have actually managed to win three of their last four home matches in the Scottish Premiership, with two of those ending 1-0 to the hosts. St Johnstone may have been buoyed by their recent win against Motherwell but they could be a bit jaded after a hectic month. Their hosts, on the other hand, have had almost a three week break due to multiple postponements so will be nice and fresh.
The visitors have also been on the end of defeat in each of their last four away days and will still be relatively low on confidence thanks to their recent spell of shocking form.
