Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners Betting Tips

Perth Glory have just gone from bad to worse this season. They ended last season 3^rd on points, but their breach of wages meant they were relegated to 7^th position and kicked out of the playoff series.

They haven’t recovered from that yet, and currently find themselves rock bottom of the table with just four points from their opening eight league games.

They started their season with back to back A-League defeats before winning in the FFA Cup and then the A-League. Since then they haven’t managed to pick up a win, with five losses and one draw making for a very disappointing spell, which also saw them lose their 2^nd FFA Cup Final in a row.

Central Coast Mariners aren’t in a much better position though. They haven’t won a game since their opening day win against Perth Glory, meaning they are now eight games without a victory.

Six of these have ended in defeat for the Mariners, taking their points total to five from nine league matches.

This leaves Central Coast Mariners second from bottom in the A-League. A win on Saturday could see them leapfrog Adelaide United in 8^th, but they would still be at least four points behind 7^th place.

Perth Glory have won three of their last five matches against Central Coast Mariners, with one draw and one defeat making up the remainder of the results.

I don’t think they’ll lose on Saturday either. Despite their terrible form, they haven’t actually been that bad at home. They have only lost once at home this season, with three wins and a draw making up their results at home in all competitions.

Central Coast Mariners have lost three of their four away days in the A-League this season, which makes odds of 10/11 for a Perth Glory win look very attractive.
