Peterborough vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

  • Seven of Peterborough’s nine Championship games this term have featured at least three goals.
  • Six of Bournemouth’s nine Championship matches this season have featured at least three goals.
  • Philip Billing has scored five goals in nine games this season and finished 2020-21 with five in his last 12 matches.

Cherries star to take top Billing

Championship leaders Bournemouth got their fourth win in a row on Saturday when seeing off a tough Luton Town side at the Vitality Stadium and now face a very different foe in Posh.

Darren Ferguson has always been true to his principles of producing a sides with an attractive style based on passing the ball and attacking.

They surprised Birmingham City at their Weston Homes Stadium the week before last, but couldn’t follow it up against in-form Coventry City.

Whether they are up to stopping the Cherries’ march is open to doubt, given they have lost to several vastly inferior sides already this term.

Unfortunately, the returns on a Bournemouth away win this week are somewhat skinny and best viewed as accumulator material.

A potentially more profitable route to take is to be had in the goals markets where the price on at least three goals to be scored is just a shade of odds-on.

Bournemouth have only scored five goals on their four away games so far this season, but they haven’t faced a side as open as Peterborough yet.

There have been 30 goals scored in Posh’s nine matches at this level and seven of those games have featured three strikes or more.

As well as the Over 2.5 goals bet recommendation, we are backing the Cherries to maintain their winning run with a 2-1 victory in correct score betting because only once have Posh failed to score at home this term.

Philip Billing is worth an investment as an anytime scorer too as the Dane – the Championship’s second most prolific midfielder – seeks to score in his third game in a row.
