Peterborough went down 2-1 at Cardiff in their League One opener last weekend and now face another tough test against a relegated outfit as Luton visit London Road.

The Hatters arrive as the favourites to claim the points but they weren’t particularly convincing in a 1-0 win over Wimbledon last time out and Posh are generally tough to break down at home, losing just two of their final 10 home games last season.

The visitors may have to settle for a point here and the best angle for our main bet could be backing both teams to score, which has been a feature of Peterborough’s games for some time.

There have been goals at both ends in nine of the hosts’ last 10 League One games and they have conceded in all of those fixtures, while they have only failed to score themselves in one of their last 10 home games across all competitions.

Luton have only managed two clean sheets in their last 21 away games across all competitions but have scored in eight of their last nine competitive games.

Both teams are expected to score but this may still be a fairly low scoring game and a 1-1 draw is the correct score prediction. A lack of goals was an issue for Luton last season as they scored 45 goals in 46 Championship games last season and they only managed one against the Dons last week, but their defence looks strong enough to limit Peterborough’s attack to just one goal.
