Poland vs San Marino Predictions

  • Poland have won all seven previous meetings with San Marino including a 7-1 romp in last month’s reverse fixture.
  • The visitors have lost all six of their qualifiers, shipping 24 goals in total.

Walkover in Warsaw

Poland stuck seven past San Marino in September’s reverse fixture and The Eagles should rack up a similar tally when they welcome Group I’s whipping boys to Stadion Narodowy on Saturday.

This fixture is highly unlikely to have any bearing on Poland’s chances of qualifying for Qatar 2022, with Paulo Sousa’s side seemingly locked in a three way battle with Albania and Hungary for second spot behind leaders England.

Poland’s last gasp equaliser against The Three Lions in the last international break leaves them effectively well placed to progress despite currently sitting third, with their upcoming fixtures significantly easier overall than those faced by their rivals.

The Eagles also boast a superior goal difference which means they aren’t especially desperate to bolster that statistic here, though they’ll want to warm-up in confident style for their key clash against the Albanians in Tirana next week.

The stats suggest that San Marino can avoid a complete humiliation in Warsaw as they’ve only lost by six or more goals in two of their last 17 internationals, though one of those came at home to the Poles last month.

Star hitman Robert Lewandowski will surely be keen to increase his 72 goal haul for the national side and he looks set to give the Sammarinese defence another torrid evening.

The visitors have lost all six of their qualifiers, shipping 24 goals in total, and we’re expecting that figure to worsen in Warsaw. At evens, Poland look a good thing to win by at least six goals and we’re backing Sousa’s side to match the seven which they fired in the teams’ September meeting.
