PSG and Both Teams To Score

PSG 2-1

Reason for tip

Benfica have faces PSG in Paris on three prior occasions and won none, they did well to keep their unbeaten start to the season alive with a draw last week, but will struggle to hold on when playing away in the French capital.

PSG vs Benfica Predictions

  • PSG haven’t lost a game in any competition since March.
  • PSG lead Ligue 1 and scored at least twice in five of their last nine games.
  • Benfica have won 14 of their last 16 competitive games.

Qualification beckons for PSG

With both PSG and Benfica locked on seven points at the top of the group, a win for either side will all but secure their passage into the knockout phase with two games left to play.

A draw between the pair just last week seemed a fair result and that kept both of their unbeaten starts to their respective seasons intact, yet PSG may fancy themselves to end Benfica’s unbelievable streak with victory on home turf after a pair of frustrating draws across Europe and Ligue 1.

Inspiring further confidence in the hosts’ ability to score, PSG have scored at least twice in seven of their last nine competitive home games. However, Benfica have only been kept off the scoresheet once away from home this season, so goals at both ends looks like it could be on the cards.

Finding value in Parisian success

The odds on a straight PSG win look far too skinny to back when considering the amazing season that Benfica are having, however it seems a bit far fetched to suggest that the Portuguese giants will be able to hold as strong at the Parc des Princes as they did at home last week.

We’re going for a PSG win with both teams to score, and we’re supplementing that selection with a smaller stakes bet on a hard-fought 2-1 home win in a result that would extend PSG’s 100% unbeaten home record against Benfica.
