      PSV vs NEC Nijmegen Predictions

It has been an extremely busy period for PSV. They’ve won a big Champions League tie against Manchester United and just about took care of business in an entertaining second round cup match against Cambuur midweek.

On Saturday, they return to Dutch Eredivisie action looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Heracles last weekend. The re-built attack, based from Luuk de Jong has come together nicely in recent weeks, creating chances and flowing nicely. It’s a good thing too, because an inexperienced defence looks vulnerable.

After six games, there are five points separating PSV from league leaders Ajax. That’s not a major deal, but make no mistake about it, PSV will not want to see it expand any further.

They face an NEC, who has played pretty well so far in Dutch Eredivisie action. They’ve won two and drawn one in a three game unbeaten stretch too. Their only two losses on the season have come against Ajax and Heracles, the top two teams in the league right now.

They won’t travel to face PSV negatively. They’ll give it a good go, looking to get at Eindhoven’s back-line and it should make for a highly entertaining game of football.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Not liking win and Asian Handicap

We’re not getting anything from the straight forward win line and we don’t like the idea of betting on an Asian Handicap that gives an NEC side that is playing well two goals. It’s possible that PSV will cover that, we might even favour it, but not enough make it our top betting tip.

      2. PSV need to score

This team isn’t going to win many games 1-0, neither are NEC for that matter. They need to score goals and we think they’ll oblige each other on Saturday.

      3. NEC not quite strong enough against the best

They’re a good, potentially dangerous team, but they’ve come undone against the better teams in Dutch Eredivisie and we expect it to happen again on Saturday.
