Qabala vs Borussia Dortmund Predictions
Qabala’s 1-0 win over Neftci on Saturday took their recent record to four wins from their last five games, but their one loss did come in the Europa League.
Russian side Krasnodar beat them 2-1 in Russia to keep Qabala’s points tally in Group C of the Europa League on one.
This leaves them bottom of the group, with their goalless draw against PAOK in the opening game being followed by this loss to Krasnodar.
PAOK’s other point came against Borussia Dortmund, who endured a long spell without a win considering their emphatic start to the season.
Their 1-1 draw with PAOK was their third in a row, and they followed this up with a loss against Bayern Munich and a friendly draw during the international break.
They finally managed to get back to winning ways on Saturday though as Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan netted in their 2-0 win over Mainz.
Bayern Munich have started to pull away in the Bundesliga though, with their perfect start leaving them seven points ahead of 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund.
Mkhitaryan, Reus, Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang, and Shinji Kagawa have already scored 15 Europa League goals between them, and when you add on their 19 Bundesliga goals you start to realise the potency of Dortmund’s attack.
But it might not be as easy as it looks for the visitors, as Qabala haven’t lost any of their last 14 home matches in all competitions.
Three of Borussia Dortmund’s last five matches have ended with four or more goals scored, and that has been during a spell of bad form. If you look through their earlier results you see an even higher proportion of goalfests.
This makes odds of 6/5 for Over 3.5 Match Goals look attractive, although if you’re feeling a little risk averse you may want to go for Over 2.5 Goals at 1/2.
