QPR vs Bolton Predictions
The pressure is building on QPR boss Chris Ramsey after a run of 4 games without a win in the Championship, which has seen them fall into the bottom half of the table. Their most recent defeat was the most worrying as they collapsed to a 4-0 loss against neighbours Fulham at Craven Cottage a week ago.
Their main problems are at the back where they’ve let in 17 goals so far in 9 matches. Only bottom club Bristol City have a worse record than that and given they’ve conceded twice in every home game so far there is plenty of encouragement for Bolton here.
After a poor start when they were desperately poor in the final third, Bolton are finally showing signs of getting their act together. They have lost just one of their last 6 Championship games and showed great spirit to come from 2-0 behind to draw 2-2 against leaders Brighton last weekend.
A supposed lack of team spirit and work ethic is something that has always been used to criticise QPR over the past few seasons and there is still perhaps a little bit of truth to that. The Loftus Road crowd will demand a response to their hammering in the West London derby with Fulham but Neil Lennon’s Bolton are the better organised side and certainly the one more likely to fight and scrap for a result.
At 4/5 there looks to be excellent value in backing Bolton to get a result from this game against a QPR side that are very top-heavy and never really look like keeping things tight at the other end.
They will be an entertaining watch this season, that is for sure and goals are almost guaranteed whenever they are in action. The fun part is guessing at which end they are going to come at. An improved Bolton side are certainly capable of coming here and securing a result but having won just once all season, 3 points might be beyond them again.
Instead consider backing them to claim a 6th draw in 10 matches and this one to finish 2-2 at odds of 12/1.
