      Rangers To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Rangers were frustrated in their 1-1 draw with Motherwell at the weekend but they have made solid progress so far in Champions League qualifying and should be too strong on home soil for Czech Republic side Viktoria Plzen.

      Rangers 2-0

      Reason for tip

Rangers shut out Panathinaikos in round two of Champions League qualifying at Ibrox and Plzen may also struggle to lay a glove on the Gers. The Czechs made hard work of their previous fixture with Servette and a trip to Glasgow could be too much to ask.

Rangers vs FK Viktoria Plzen Predictions

      • Rangers are unbeaten in their last eight matches
      • All three of Rangers’ competitive fixtures this season featured under 2.5 goals
      • It was 2-0 to Rangers in their only home fixture this term against Panathinaikos

Gers to make most of home advantage

Rangers made a mess of their opening Scottish Premiership fixture on Saturday when drawing 1-1 with Motherwell but we predict a response from the Light Blues who can ease to victory Viktoria Plzen.

Gers took an early lead at the weekend but couldn’t finish the job, but they are unlikely to make the same mistake on Tuesday as they look to continue their Champions League qualification progress.

Rangers have already brushed aside Panathinaikos to get to this point and their only home match this term yielded a 2-0 victory over the Greeks.

A repeat scoreline is our prediction as the Ibrox giants are a tough nut to crack at home, not losing in Glasgow since April.

Plzen have won their last three away matches and they have won both matches against Scottish opposition when beating Hearts in last season’s Europa League qualifiers.

They could cause Rangers some issues but that is more likely to be in the return leg, with Russell Martin’s men predicted to win this first leg 2-0.
