Reading vs Charlton Betting Tips

Charlton are winless since August and the pressure is beginning to build on manager Guy Luzon. Goals from Daniel Williams and Nick Blackburn, who has scored in all 3 of those wins and is the joint top scorer in the division, ensured the success and it leaves Reading in 3rd place just 2 points below Boro.

Reading are much improved on last season when their impressive FA Cup run interfered with their league form a little bit and look well equipped to make a more serious challenge this season.

They are scoring freely and only 3 sides have better goalscoring records than them so at home to a Charlton side who have been awful at the back of late, you have to fancy them to win by 2 or more goals and they are good value to do that at 13/10.

Reading have the joint best defence in the league and if they get ahead, you can’t see them allowing Charlton back into the game in the same way that Fulham did last week.

They’ve only conceded twice at home in the league so far this season, while Charlton have only scored 3 times on the road and are yet to win. Therefore a routine 2-0 victory for the hosts is surely worth backing at 5/1.
