Real on a mission

Back-to-back defeats for second place Girona means that Real Madrid have extended their lead at the top of the La Liga table to six points and they look well on their way to securing another title.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been rock solid at home this term, winning ten and drawing two of their 12 home games in their own back yard.

They take on a Sevilla side who despite an upturn in form recently, are still comfortably in the bottom half of the table and were in real danger of falling into the relegation scrap until recently.

Real have been water tight at the back this season, conceding just 16 times in 25 league games and they have recorded wins to nil in three of their last five matches in all competitions, they can add to that tally in this clash.

Sevilla set to struggle

Sevilla have been in decent nick recently but in all likelihood will not be able to land a glove on this imperious Real Madrid side, who can secure a win to nil.

Los Blancos have had a busy schedule recently though so expect some rotation and the may not blow these visitors away.

Three of Sevilla’s last four have gone under 2.5 goals and the same is fancied in a 2-0 home win.
