Real Oviedo still pushing for the top six

A 2-1 defeat at Las Palmas last week dealt Real Oviedo a major blow in their play-off hopes, but they have still won six of their last nine games and are unbeaten in five at home.

Cuco Ziganda’s side will finish in the top six if they win and either Girona or Las Palmas lose, and they can take heart from their impressive record at Estadio Carlos Tartiere, where they have lost just twice this season.

Of their ten home victories, eight have come by at least a two goal margin, including 3-0 defeats over Real Vallodolid, Fuenlabrada and Mirandes since March.

Ibiza playing for pride

Ibiza on other hand have nothing riding on this game and their form is patchy at best, losing four of their last five and picking up just one win in eight on their travels.

Paco Jémez’s side have suffered eight defeats in total on the road, of which seven were by two or more goals, and five of those were against teams in the top half of the table.

They clearly have their struggles when facing the better sides in the Segunda and in total have registered just two wins in their last 12, home or away.

I predict that Real Oviedo will get a win here by at least two goals, selecting 2-0 as a correct score prediction.
