Changes afoot set to make for an open contest

Both of these sides have rung the changes in the cup this season. These changes have made the Copa Del Rey games involving these teams exciting affairs, with the four previous ties involving Valladolid and Real Betis averaging 3.25 goals a game (excluding Extra-Time).

Real Valladolid have scored in each of their last seven home games and are expected to continue this trend in what will hopefully be open game. Betis on the other hand have failed to score in only three of their thirteen away games in all competitions this campaign.

Tough to split

Valladolid hold the second-best home record in the Segunda Division, whilst Betis boast the third best away record in La Liga this term. Given these respective records, coupled with it being difficult to predict just how the teams will line-up makes splitting these two sides on Wednesday evening quite tricky.

Valladolid’s last Copa Del Rey tie finished 3-1, whilst Real Betis’ contest away at CF Talavera in the last round finished 2-2 after 90 minutes. BTTS once again looks the most solid bet and makes for a reasonably confident selection.

Whilst BTTS is a confident play, picking the winner on the night is tough. Both teams would ideally like to avoid Extra-Time. Given their success so far in their respective leagues, unwanted minutes in the players legs may be perceived as a hinderance. But with these side being so difficult to split on the night, A repeat dose of the 2-2 score line the last time Betis played in the cup may be on the cards.
