Romania To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Romania have won all four of their completed group games and have conceded just two goals in the process, they should be able to secure another win to nil here.

Romania 3-0

Reason for tip

Three of Romania’s last five wins have been by a 3-0 scoreline and they could repeat the trick against a Cyprus team that have lost their three games against Kosovo and these opponents by an aggregate score of 10-0.

Romania vs Cyprus Predictions

  • Cyprus have lost their three group games against Kosovo and Romania by an aggregate score of 10-0
  • Romania have won their last four completed matches
  • Three of Romania’s last five wins have been by a 3-0 scoreline.

Romania likely to be too strong

Romania’s Nations League game on Friday against Kosovo was suspended in the 90th minute and while it remains to be seen what happens with that match, they should be able to record a comfortable success over Cyprus in this final group game.

The suspended match had been goalless when it was brought to a halt but Romania have won their other four group games and currently sit top of the section as a result.

Cyprus have taken six points from two wins over whipping boys Lithuania but have struggled in their three games against the top two, losing by an aggregate score of 10-0 in those matches.

They look unlikely to lay a glove on this Romania team, the Tricolorii won the reverse fixture 3-0 and were out of sight after 36 minutes in that game.

Take the home team to win a game in which they also keep a clean sheet given Cyprus’ failure to score in their three previous matches against these opponents and Kosovo.

Three of Romania’s last five wins have been by a 3-0 scoreline and this could be another to follow that trend in what should be a comfortable success for the hosts.

Meanwhile, a 1-0 win for Northern Ireland, which was the outcome of the teams’ last head-to-head meeting in 2019, could be a decent correct score play.
