Rotherham vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions
- Blackburn are the only team yet to draw a game in the Championship this season
- Rotherham have lost seven of their last ten games
- Rotherham have failed to score in three of their last four games
Strugglers Rotherham may come undone again
Rotherham are the proverbial yo-yo club between the Championship and League One and look to be at major risk of dropping back down to the third tier after just one season after losing four of their last five games. The Millers have failed to score in three of their last four and no side has won fewer games than the hosts’ six in the Championship this season.
The departure of manager Paul Warne has been a hammer blow and after a solid start to the campaign in which they lost just one of their first nine matches, Rotherham have started to slide toward the wrong end of the table.
All or nothing Rovers can take all three points
Blackburn Rovers have been a peculiar team to weigh up in this year’s Championship, they are remarkably yet to draw a game from their 26 in the second tier this season. Winning 14 of those means that Rovers are in third position, but the efforts of Burnley and Sheffield United means that automatic promotion looks unlikely, with Jon Dahl Thomasson’s men nine points behind the Blades in second.
Defence has been key to Blackburn’s efforts this season, they have won five of the last six games in which they have kept a clean sheet and lost their last five matches in which they have conceded. Playing low-scorers Rotherham may be key for their chances of taking all three points then with Rovers fancied to pick up a comfortable 2-0 win to deepen their opponents’ woes.
