Salford City vs Bristol Rovers Predictions

Salford have been winners in four of their last six League Two home games and they are the best bet to get the win when Bristol Rovers visit on Saturday.

Salford are fourth in the table, with 14 wins, four draws and seven losses, while Bristol Rovers are 21st having won six, drawn three and lost 16 of their 25 games. The two sides are separated by 25 points.

Salford maintained their winning run last weekend with a 3-2 win over Swindon, and those who backed them at 17/10 were delighted to see the result land as a win/win double.

Bristol Rovers are enduring a difficult run of results, having won just one of their last ten League Two matches. They have lost 13 of their last 15 in the league.

They have struggled going forward this season. No team has failed to score in more League Two games than they have, with 11 goalless matches in 25.

The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back. Bristol Rovers have conceded 23 goals on their travels this season in League Two – an average of 1.92 per game from 12 away games – and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 19 league matches.

A 2-0 home win for Salford looks a decent correct-score option. Seven of Bristol Rovers’ last nine League Two games have ended with at least one of the sides failing to score.
