Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Viktoria Plzen have scored in six of their last eight away European games, including at tough places like Lazio and Athletic Bilbao. They dominated the first leg for long spells and outshot Servette 23 to seven. Both teams scored in each of the Swiss club’s last two home European ties.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Servette are unbeaten in four consecutive home matches in all competitions and saw off Chelsea 2-1 on their ground a year ago. They can claim a draw against a Plzen side that drew 1-1 at Lazio back in March.

Servette vs FK Viktoria Plzen Predictions

  • Servette take a narrow 1-0 advantage back to Geneva for the second leg
  • Viktoria Plzen have scored in six of their last eight away European games
  • Servette are unbeaten in four consecutive home matches in all competitions

Servette look to complete the job at home

Having come away with a hard-earned 1-0 win in the first leg in the Czech Republic, Servette have put themselves firmly in control of this UEFA Champions League qualifying tie against Viktoria Plzen.

Thomas Haberli’s side absorbed plenty of pressure as Plzen managed 23 shots, but the hosts found the Swiss backline difficult to breach and will now have to win the return clash in Geneva.

Servette are usually pretty solid at Stade de Genève, where they beat Chelsea 2-1 in Europa Conference League qualifying last summer. But it would be wrong to completely rule out the Czech club, who had a good run in the Europa League last term.

Both teams to score in Geneva

Both teams can score in this clash with Plzen having been involved in some end-to-end affairs in Europe recently. Miroslav Koubek’s team have scored in six of their last eight away European games.

Back the Swiss side to score too, as they did in both of their European home games last summer against Chelsea and Braga, but a draw is good enough for them to progress and they may just settle for a 1-1 scoreline.
