Expect another frustrating tussle for Sevilla

Sevilla begin their Champions League campaign against Lens on Wednesday but they must first arrest their slide in La Liga when they take on Las Palmas on Sunday.

The Andalusians have made a miserable start to the new La Liga season, losing all three of their games to leave them rock bottom in the standings before the international break.

It follows an underwhelming campaign in which they finished 12th in La Liga, although that was offset somewhat by their Europa League title triumph.

The calibre of opposition Sevilla have lost to this term will also be of concern to manager Jose Luis Mendilibar, who is already under pressure after replacing Jorge Sampaoli in March.

They have lost to Valencia, Alaves and Girona this term and punters should not rush to back them this weekend, although Las Palmas have also made a slow start.

The Gran Canaria outfit are winless from their opening four games, although that run has featured two draws with Mallorca and Real Sociedad and a stalemate could be the best bet in this clash at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
