Sevilla vs Real Madrid Betting Tips

This the final game Real Madrid play before El Clasico in two weeks and a win here will ensure that they go into that game on top of the table. It is a case of so far so good for Rafa Benitez who is yet to lose as boss of Los Blancos. They didn’t put in a great performance in midweek though but managed to beat PSG 1-0 for an important Champions League win that sealed their progression.

Seville is a tough place to go but Real Madrid have coped well with some tricky away games so far. They’ve taken 7 points out of 9 from trips to Celta Vigo, Athletic Bilbao and across town at Atletico so will be confident that they can deal well with this one too.

They were the only visiting side to win at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán last season in any competition with a 3-2 win coming via a brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick. If anything this should be an easier game given Sevilla haven’t been as impressive so far this season and despite beating Barcelona, they are only 11th in La Liga.

They have already been beaten 3 times at home this term. Atletico Madrid were convincing 3-0 winners back in August, while Celta Vigo also took maximum points a few weeks later. Their hopes of Champions League progress were all but dashed in midweek by another home defeat this time against Manchester City.

They might find a Real Madrid side that is getting over their injury problems, too hot to handle here and certainly the visitors look good value for the win at 10/11.

It’s likely to be a close game though. Sevilla rarely fail to score at home and you’d certainly expect both sides to net in the match but Real Madrid’s extra quality may again show and you can back them to win 2-1 at 8/1.
