SK Brann to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Brann have yet to be beaten on their own patch since gaining promotion back to the top flight and they look well placed to claim another victory. They have scored at least twice in seven of their last eight home league and cup matches, so over 2.5 goals looks a strong possibility too.

SK Brann 3-1

Reason for tip

Brann have been full of goals since their return to the top flight and, as they have won 3-1 in their last two league matches, it would not be a surprise if that pattern was followed when they entertain Lillestrom.

SK Brann vs Lillestrom Predictions

  • SK Brann’s last three Eliteserien games have been wins with four or more goals.
  • Brann have won their last two Eliteserien games 3-1.
  • Six of Lillestrom’s last eight league games and SK Brann’s last four have seen both sides score.

Brann enjoying a decent return to top flight

It is only a few weeks since Brann beat Lillestrom in the Norwegian Cup and they look well placed to build on that success by seeing off the same opponents when they meet in the Eliteserien on Sunday.

Brann have scored at least twice in seven of their eight league and cup games this season and it is little surprise to see them favourites to beat Lillestrom, who had to be content with a goalless draw when they faced HamKam, the team with the worst defensive record in the Eliteserien, in their last league away game.

We should see an improved attacking performance from them, but they may not be able to stem the tide against a team who have scored 28 goals in their last seven matches, so take Brann to win and there to be over 2.5 goals in the match.

Lillestrom struggling with inconsistency

Lillestrom will perhaps not be too disappointed with their start to the season and being fifth in the Norwegian Eliteserien is certainly no disgrace.

However, they remain inconsistent, as explained by an extra-time defeat to third-tier Ullensaker/Kisa in their last game in the cup, so it is difficult to have much faith in them on the road.

They remain capable of scoring, but with Brann having won 3-1 in their last two matches, there seems reason to support a similar correct-score outcome in Sunday’s clash
