Freescoring Toulouse to punish the hosts

Sochaux fell to a 2-1 loss at Ligue 2 leaders Troyes last time out and another difficult evening is expected on Monday as they face promotion hopefuls Sochaux.

The visitors are just two points off the top of the table with a game in hand at the time of writing and they head into this clash in fine form. The visitors are unbeaten in ten Ligue 2 outings and have won seven of those, and their goalscoring prowess is a breath of fresh air in a division normally famed for its low scoring nature.

Toulouse’s 39 goals scored puts them just behind leading scorers Auxerre, but their away record sets them apart. They have scored 18 goals in nine trips away this season and have netted at least two goals in each of their last four trips.

Sochaux are by no means an easy team to beat, but Troyes put two past them in the last game and they have lost twice at home this season. With Toulouse winning five of their last seven trips we fancy them to get put the Sochaux defence under pressure here, and a bet of Toulouse over 1.5 team goals looks excellent value.
