Stabaek vs Sandefjord Predictions
- Stabæk halted a four-game losing run with a 3-3 draw at Viking in midweek.
- Sandefjord have lost their last two away games.
- At least four goals have been scored in the last three Sandefjord away matches.
Goals look likely in lower-end skirmish
Struggling Stabæk will be looking to climb out of the bottom two when they host inconsistent Sandefjord in the Eliteserien on Sunday.
The Blue Ones need to take the positives from their 3-3 midweek draw at Viking in which they led 1-0 and 3-2 in Stavanger.
Conceding a late equaliser to extend their run without a win to six was not ideal, but Stabæk continue to entertain and their exciting teenage talent Antonio Nusa continues to shine.
The 16-year-old’s brace on Wednesday means he has three goals in four appearances this year, all but one as a substitute.
Stabæk’s situation near the foot of the table doesn’t provide the ideal environment for young players to flourish, but he could be needed from the start against Sandefjord this weekend.
The visitors arrive with chequered overall form – they have enjoyed two good home wins over Viking and an injury-hit Bodø / Glimt recently while remaining lousy on the road.
There’s not much obvious value in the match betting, but the likelihood that this game features a healthy number of goals is good.
The Whalers have conceded eight in three away trips so far – all of which have featured at least four goals.
The hosts have also shipped almost two goals per game at Nadderud, so we are hanging our hats on Over 3.5 match goals here.
A 2-2 draw may be the best approach to a correct score bet in the wake of Stabæk’s 3-3 at Viking and the emergence of Nusa.
