Stoke City vs Peterborough Predictions
- The Posh have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six away league matches.
- The visitors have also lost seven of their last eight away league games.
- The Potters have secured seven points from their last three league outings.
Stoke City in a purple patch
Stoke City are on the cusp of securing their first three-game winning streak since October 2016 and they will fancy their chances of making it happen as they welcome strugglers Peterborough United to the Bet365 Stadium.
The Potters have won six of their last seven home league matches against newly-promoted sides and given they’re undefeated in their last 12 games against the visitors, it seems likely that they could extend that record here. The hosts need to start thinking long term consistency as they had a similar points total at this stage last season and were chasing the playoffs, only to fall away and finish the season in 14th.
Peterborough United are currently languishing just above the relegation zone and something needs to change if they are to beat the drop. They have lost seven of their last eight away league games and are conceding goals at an alarming rate. The second half, in particular, seems to be the most decisive as 15 of their 22 goals conceded away from home this campaign have been seen after the interval.
Dominant Stoke City to brush aside struggling Peterborough United
Stoke City are on the up and will have their eyes firmly set on claiming another three points to help lift them higher in the standings. They couldn’t have asked for better opponents as Peterborough United continue to struggle, particularly defensive. We’re expecting Stoke to put in a dominant display in front of their own fans and cover the -1.0 handicap by scoring a couple of goals without reply.
