Stoke vs Arsenal Betting Tips

Stoke have been almost impossible to predict this season. One week they are turning on the continental style and netting four away at Everton, and another they are failing to score against the worst defensive side in the Premier League.

There’s no doubt that the talent is there though, and against an Arsenal side who have proved excellent at breaking teams down I think Mark Hughes could opt for an attacking approach.

Stoke managed to beat Norwich 3-1 in midweek as well, taking their Premier League record to three wins and two defeats in their last five outings.

This recent good form has taken them up to a more than satisfactory 7^th position in the Premier League, and they’re actually only four points off the top four.

They are 11 points adrift of Arsenal though, with Arsene Wenger’s side leading the Premier League on goal difference ahead of Leicester in 2^nd.

This is thanks to some truly excellent performances and results, and the offensive performance was definitely there in their spectacular 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Wednesday.

This took Arsenal’s record to just one defeat in their last 11 outings in all competitions, with eight of those games ending in victory for the title challengers.

These two sides have both put on some excellent attacking displays over the past couple of months. Stoke have scored ten goals in their last five matches and have seen three or more goals scored in four of these five games.

Arsenal have scored nine in their last five games and have seen goalfests in four of their last six outings. It could be even more should Alexis Sanchez make a full recovery in time to visit the Britannia.

This makes odds of 1/1 for Over 2.5 Goals look incredibly good value, so I’m backing that alongside a 2-1 Arsenal win at 17/2.
