      Stoke vs Chelsea Predictions

Stoke were looking in really good form until the weekend. They had won their last four matches in all competitions.

But all that progress seemed to count for nothing when they put in a dismal display at home to Watford on Saturday.

The Potters put in an uncharacteristically poor defensive display as Watford put two past Jack Butland, and they were by no means better going forward.

This defeat saw them slip to 14th in the Premier League table, and I would image Mark Hughes well and truly laid into the squad after the match.

Chelsea aren’t doing any better though. The Premier League Champions sit in a lowly 15th position in the table and have only won one of their last six matches in all competitions.

Their 2-1 loss at West Ham at the weekend was an absolute shambles. The players didn’t perform anywhere near the level their wages indicate they should, and the referee had to send off Nemanja Matic, Jose Mourinho, and the Chelsea assistant manager.

There hasn’t been a better time in years for Stoke to get one over on Chelsea.

But Chelsea have won the last four meetings between them and Stoke, with the home side last getting a win at the end of 2013 in a 3-2 win at the Britannia.

The bookies don’t seem to have learned their lesson regarding Chelsea yet. The visitors are almost odds on favourites to win this match at the difficult Britannia Stadium with odds of 21/20.

I don’t think they’ll get a win as long as Mark Hughes has drummed some sense into his players after the defeat to Watford. Odds of 4/5 for a Stoke Win or Draw Double Chance look like incredible value odds as well, so that’s what I’m backing along with a 1-1 draw at 11/2.
