Swansea vs Manchester United Predictions

Swansea’s season continued on it’s awful way on Monday when the in form Stoke beat them 3-1. This extended Swansea’s winless run to nine matches in a row, with seven of those games being defeats.

In fairness, the South Wales outfit have started to look a bit better since the arrival of Bob Bradley, but it just hasn’t reaped any rewards so far. They got two goals against the defensively excellent Arsenal in his first game in charge and then earned a point at home to Watford before their defeat to Stoke.

They have at least managed to find the back of the net in eight of their last ten matches in all competitions, which was the worry when they were without a single striker during the summer. Modou Barrow’s dramatically improved form is something to keep an eye on as well, and whilst he hasn’t got a goal yet this season he has looked very dangerous recently. I think odds of 4/1 for him to score anytime are incredibly good value.

This is especially true considering Manchester United have kept just four clean sheets in their last 13 outings in all competitions. Away from home they have conceded 11 goals in their last six matches in all competitions, and with Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia sidelined and Chris Smalling doubtful there could be plenty of opportunities for Swansea to test David De Gea.

Manchester United suffered yet another blow to their chances of a successful season on Thursday when Fenerbahce beat them 2-1 in Turkey. This leaves them 3rd in their Europa League group with two games remaining, and they have now only won one of their last six away matches in all competitions.

They have found the net more often than not this season and will feel confident about putting one or two past a Swansea side who have conceded in ten of their last 11 games. They have only kept one clean sheet at home in all competitions as well, whilst Manchester United have scored in six of their nine matches away from Old Trafford.

This makes odds of 7/10 for Both Teams to Score look a good prospect, but I don’t think either of them will get many goals. I’m going for a 1-1 correct score prediction at 13/2 as well.
