      Swansea vs Watford Predictions

Swansea’s horrendous 4-2 defeat at home to fellow relegation candidates Sunderland in midweek will have shattered whatever confidence their players still had.

This was their 3rd loss on the bounce in all competitions, with the previous match being an equally shocking defeat against Oxford United in the FA Cup.

Swansea have lost eight of their last 12 matches in all competitions and only won once, a record which has taken them to 17th place in the Premier League with just one point separating them from the bottom three.

Watford find themselves in a much more favourable, if unexpected, 10th position in the Premier League after their promotion last season. They have picked up 29 points from their opening 21 matches, but unfortunately for them only one of those points has come in the last four league matches.

They have only managed to win one of their last five matches in all competitions, although to be fair to them two of their three defeats have come against Manchester City and Spurs.

Before this streak they had won four matches on the bounce in the Premier League, and away from home they have managed to win two and draw one of their last five matches.

Both of these away victories came against relegation candidates, so they can definitely perform against those sides who are fighting for survival.

Swansea have conceded nine goals in their last three matches in all competitions and their confidence will be in absolute tatters after their last two results. Alan Curtis has a real job to do to get his side back to winning ways, and I don’t think a match against a Watford side who boast the most lethal striking partnership in the Premier League is the match he’ll do it in.

I’m expecting Watford to get the win on Monday evening, although with away matches you can never be sure. Odds of 6/5 for a Watford Draw No Bet look excellent value though, so I’m going for that along with a 2-0 correct score prediction at 16/1.
