Can Sweden bounce back?

Sweden endured a disappointing start to qualifying for Euro 2024, as they suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Belgium.

That defeat ended a run of four successive wins, and was also only the second time they had failed to score in 11 outings.

Six of their previous ten fixtures had also contained at least three goals, while they are generally strong at home, suffering just three defeats in Sweden since September 2020.

Azerbaijan also got Euro 2024 qualifying off to a losing start, with a 4-1 battering away to Austria ending their own five match winning streak.

That was their fifth successive fixture to contain at least three goals, while Gianni De Biasi’s side have now scored in each of their last half a dozen fixtures.

They will be hoping to trouble the Sweden defence in this game as they look to end a run of just one win in their last ten competitive away fixtures.
