Draw

Reason for tip

Four of the last six meetings between the pair have finished level and Thursday’s clash could follow a similar trend. Lazio recently gained a huge win over Bayern Munich and have won three of their last four away games while Torino are unbeaten in their last seven home matches, winning five in that run, so with both sides in great form there could be little to split them in Turin.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in five of Lazio’s last six Serie A away games so it seems likely both sides will strike in Turin. Two of the last four draws between the pair have finished 1-1 and five of Torino’s last seven Serie A home draws have seen the same scoreline.

Torino vs Lazio Predictions

  • Torino are unbeaten in their last six matches as well as their last six games at home
  • Lazio have won three of their last four Serie A away matches
  • Four of the last six meetings between the pair have finished level

Tight tie expected in Turin

Maurizio Sarri’s attempts to build a Roman Empire at Lazio have not quite gone to plan as of yet, due in large part to his side’s inability to put together a consistent string of results.

They followed up their exceptional Champions League first-leg victory over German giants Bayern Munich with a 2-1 loss at Bologna in Serie A and they are now sat eight in Serie A, eight points off fourth-placed Atalanta.

Lazio’s away form has improved recently, winning three of their last four away games in Italy’s top flight after losing four of their previous six, but they may have to settle for a point in Turin on Thursday.

Lazio likely to share the points

Torino have hit form at just the right time, avoiding defeat in their last six matches, and they are clearly difficult to beat at home as they have put together a seven-games unbeaten run at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, winning five in that sequence.

The run included victories to nil over champions Napoli and highflying Atalanta and they should have enough to contain Sarri’s inconsistent side.

Four of the last six meetings between the pair have finished level and, with both teams in solid form at home and on their travels respectively, it would be no surprise to see two clubs who are clearly talented as demonstrated by their recent scalps share the points in Turin.
