      St Louis City to Win

      Reason for tip

St Louis are having an excellent debut season in the MLS and have won their last two games, while Toronto have lost each of their last four outings and have failed to score in eight of their last 12.

      St Louis City 2-0

      Reason for tip

Toronto have failed to score in eight of their last 12 games and have won just three of their 22 MLS outings so far this season. They face a St Louis side that have won their last two games, one of which was a 2-0 triumph, and sit at the top of the Western Conference.

Toronto FC vs St Louis City Predictions

      • St. Louis have won their last two games

      • Toronto have failed to score in eight of their last 12 matches

St. Louis can extend winning run

St. Louis are having an exceptional debut season in the MLS and they can strengthen their grip on first place in the Western Conference by defeating Toronto in Ontario.

There have been ups and downs for St. Louis, who have been far less consistent since opening the season with five successive victories.

Bradley Carnell’s side went on a four-game winless run last month but they have re-asserted themselves more recently with victories away to San Jose Earthquakes (2-1) and at home to Colorado Rapids (2-0).

Confidence seems to have returned to the St. Louis camp and Carnell’s team look decent value to make it three wins in a row.

      Toronto’s troubles may continue

Toronto are having a miserable campaign, registering just three wins from 22 MLS fixtures, and it is hard to imagine them troubling the league leaders.

Each of Toronto’s wins have come at BMO Field, but they are likely to be short of confidence after losing their last four fixtures.

Terry Dunfield’s side slumped to a 4-0 loss at Orlando City on Tuesday and they will be below full strength for the weekend with first choice right back Richie Laryea on Concacaf Gold Cup duty with the Canadian national team.
