Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford Betting Tips

Could this finally be Tottenham Hotspur’s year? With top four mainstays Chelsea and Manchester United both struggling it’s certainly looking like Spurs have what it takes to fill the gap.

Their 3-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday made it five wins on the trot for Mauricio Pocchettino’s men, and with Arsenal faltering again they managed to move into 3^rd position in the Premier League.

Spurs are now only five points adrift of league leaders Leicester and are five points ahead of 5^th placed Manchester United.

With the key players such as Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, and the rapidly improving Dele Alli all high on confidence, Spurs are looking like one of the teams to beat at the moment.

But Watford won’t exactly be pushovers. Last season’s Championship runners up have performed exceptionally well in their first season back in the top flight.

They come into this match having won two and drawn one of their last three matches, a run of results which has seen them dig themselves out of a bit of a poor spell that they had been enduring since Christmas.

The heroics of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo have helped Watford to a top half position in the Premier League. They sit in 9^th position in the table, and they are actually only seven points adrift of a Europa League qualification position.

Spurs have the upper hand in terms of overall form and past history between the sides though. Spurs have won four in a row against Watford and haven’t lost to the Vicarage Road outfit since 1987. Nine matches have been played since then.

Tottenham Hotspur are in excellent scoring form as well. They have scored a total of 16 goals in their last five outings and have netted at least two goals in all of those matches.

This makes odds of 8/13 for Spurs Over 1.5 Team Total Goals look good value for money, and I’m going for this along with a 3-1 correct score prediction at 12/1.
