      Tip Reasoning

Tottenham’s unbeaten streak continued last weekend as they came from two goals behind to earn a point at Manchester City, thus ending their seven match winning streak but extending their unbeaten streak to eight games in all competitions.

This has left them in 3rd place in the Premier League, but with just two points separating 2nd from 4th, things can change quickly here. They will face an uphill battle to catch league leaders Chelsea though, who sit nine points clear of them.

The FA Cup is well within Spurs’ grasp though, and a favourable fourth round draw against League Two side Wycombe shouldn’t throw any real hurdles in their path. They were rather laboured against a defensively minded Aston Villa in the third round, but Wycombe’s defence is nowhere near as resilient as the Championship outfits’.

At home Tottenham have proved more than formidable as well. Their 4-0 thrashing of West Brom last time out made it eight wins on the bounce for them, with them netting a huge 24 goals in that period and conceding just four. They do have a few minor injury problems, but even resting the doubtful Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, Harry Kane, and Erik Lamela shouldn’t leave too much of a selection problem for Mauricio Pochettino.

Wycombe have been in good form recently though. They beat Mansfield Town on Tuesday to make it 16 games unbeaten in all competitions, but three of their last four have been draws and the quality of their opposition has been far from the standard of Spurs.

The chances of the visitors keeping Tottenham at bay for 90 minutes is extremely unlikely, even if the in form Kane doesn’t start. Heung Min-Son is likely to be played, and the South Korean has proved his worth so far this season. He has netted seven league goals, including one against Manchester City last weekend, and also bagged one in their FA Cup clash with Aston Villa. Backing him to score anytime at 5/6 looks a very good option for our goalscorer predictions.

It’s not just going forward that Spurs have looked good though. At the back they have been solid, keeping eight clean sheets in their last 13 home games in all competitions and conceding a total of six goals in this spell. This, considering their lower league opposition, makes odds of 8/11 for Tottenham to Win to Nil look a good value bet. I’m going for a 3-0 correct score predictions at 11/2 as well.
