This poor run of away form doesn’t convince us that Watford are likely to win this game comfortably by any means either. 

Watford play an important six-pointer in the Premier League just 48 hours before this FA Cup tie where they will potentially earn a place in the next round to face Manchester United on Sunday. We expect heavy rotation to Watford’s side going into Thursday’s game. A weakened side will likely encourage Tranmere to get a result at home here. 

Both of these teams’ recent form suggests that this game is likely to deliver plenty of goals. We are backing over 2.5 goals to be scored in this one. 

We feel that neither of these two sides look particularly likely to win this game outright, based on recent form. We feel that we could see a repeat of the reverse fixtures’ result in 90 minutes here. We feel that a 2-2 draw is a potentially likely result of this game.
