Trinidad and Tobago vs USA Betting Tips

This has makings of a really interesting contest. USA returned to winning ways last week against CONCACAF minnows St Vincent and the Grenadines. Despite conceding an early goal, which again highlighted their current defensive frailties they bounced back to win 6-1, a result which should have surprised nobody.

However given they’d lost 5 of their 6 previous matches, all at home, these are still worrying times you sense for Jurgen Klinsmann as he tries to build a new side after some high profile retirements. There is some promise in the squad but there are likely to be further setbacks given it’s still a young team.

Many of the players have little experience of the tough away trips that World Cup qualifying in this section can bring and almost all of their recent matches have been played within the United States.

Trinidad & Tobago are a decent side too and with home advantage will really fancy this. They were a bit unfortunate to go out on penalties in the Quarter-Finals of the Gold Cup to Panama and if you discount that they are unbeaten in 8 matches coming into this game.

They won a tricky opening qualifier in Guatemala on Saturday and have beaten Panama and held Mexico in recent friendly games. At Evens they look really good value to avoid defeat again here against a relatively inexperienced USA side.

There should be goals in this one. Neither side are great defensively and both like to play positive attacking football. Trinidad have been involved in 4-4 and 3-3 draws with Mexico in recent months while USA were beaten 3-2 by Mexico last month and shipped 4 against Brazil in September.

These are likely to be the two outstanding sides in the group though so as the game wears on, both managers might become content to settle for a point but we should see a few goals before that stage and odds of 16/1 for a 2-2 draw look really appealing.
