Turkey vs Moldova Predictions
- Turkey hammered Moldova 4-0 home and away in Euro 2020 Qualifying.
- Moldova are without a win in 19 starts, losing 16.
- The away side have shipped 28 goals in their last nine games, including an 8-0 battering against Denmark in their penultimate outing.
Turks to tear into Moldova once again
Turkey beat Moldova 4-0 home and away in Euro 2020 Qualifying and we can expect a similar result in Paderborn this Thursday night as Senol Gunes’ side play out their final warm-up game for this summer’s finals.
After kicking off 2022 World Cup Qualifying with impressive wins against Netherlands (4-2) and Norway (0-3), Turkey have been unconvincing to say the least in recent starts and they couldn’t find a way past Guinea in a goalless stalemate at the weekend.
That result followed on from an awful 3-3 home draw with Latvia and a scrappy 2-1 success over Azerbaijan, but we can expect a far more fluent display from Gunes’ charges this week as they prepare to face Italy on 11th June.
Gunes is likely to field his strongest XI here and there’s no reason why the Turks shouldn’t sluice their way through the Moldovans once more – the away side have picked up just three draws in their last 19 internationals and have conceded 28 goals in their last nine outings.
Moldova have shipped 12 against Denmark (8-0) and Israel (1-4) in their last two games, so Turkey can be confidently backed to cover a two goal handicap this Thursday and we’re also tipping up another 4-0 score-line in their favour.
