Twente vs Heracles Betting Tips

Dutch Eredivisie action is officially back for 2016 on Friday night as fourth place Heracles looks to build upon a terrific first half to their 2015/16 campaign when they travel to face second from bottom Twente.

Heracles made a tremendously positive start to 2015/16 and still currently occupy fourth place in the table behind the division’s “big three”. They entered the Christmas break with a 2-1 win over improving Groningen, a victory that would have been a welcome relief for a club that had gone win-less in four games.

The battle for those places behind the Eredivisie’s top three is always tight and intense, but Heracles are real Europa League contenders at the moment.

Twente might have expected to be closer to the Europa League conversation than the relegation battle before the start of the season, but they collected just 13 points and just three wins in the first 17 games. They scored just 18 times and conceded 41 goals in the first half of the season and they’ll have welcomed a break.

They did pick up a valuable three points against bottom of the table De Graafschap and away draw against fellow relegation battler Excelsior in December, but their break was disappointingly punctuated by a 5-1 defeat to Vitesse.
