USA vs Bolivia Predictions

Can USA start with a bang?

As tournament hosts, the United States of America will be desperate to make an early mark on the Copa America by beating Bolivia in their opening group game.

The odds seem to be stacked in their favour, given how good the Stars and Stripes are at home. Since September 2019, they have lost just four times in the States, with Brazil and Germany among the teams to win there.

Gregg Berhalter’s side also enter the tournament in reasonable form, winning five of their last 11 outings across all venues, including beating Mexico in the Nations League earlier this year.

Bolivia must find a way to win

The same praise cannot be put upon Bolivia, who head into the Copa America on a miserable run of ten defeats from their last dozen outings, including three successive reversals.

Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador have inflicted that hat-trick of losses, each of them away from home.

Indeed, their form on the road is terrible, with Antônio Carlos Zago’s side – who have suffered a group stage elimination at the last three Copa Americas – losing eight in a row on the road.
