Valencia are incredibly tough to beat at the Mestalla, losing just once in eight La Liga fixtures there this season, but they have still encountered a few problems on home soil.

José Bordalás’ side have managed just one clean sheet over their last half a dozen matches at home, while four of the last five have ended as draws.

Their saving grace is they score a lot too. You have to go back 19 fixtures to December 2020 for the last time they failed to net at home, and they are a strong bet to continue that run here.

Elche conceding too many

Elche are another side with defensive problems. While they have scored in 12 of their 16 La Liga fixtures this season, they have also conceded 22 goals, keeping just three clean sheets in the process.

Only one of those clean sheets has come away from home, in a 1-0 victory at Getafe, the sole victory they have picked up on the road so far.

They are on a run of six matches on their travels without a win and this will be another stiff test. I think they will net, but it will be fruitless, so I predict Valencia will win with both teams scoring, with a 2-1 correct score prediction.
