Valladolid vs Valencia predictions for Sunday night’s La Liga action at Jose Zorrilla. Can Valladolid inflict further misery upon struggling Valencia when the sides clash this weekend? Read on for our free La Liga predictions and betting tips.
Valladolid have been in decent form since the beginning of November and Sergio’s side are backed to obtain a first victory over Valencia since 2009 when the teams clash at Jose Zorrilla this Sunday night.
After a poor start to the campaign, Valladolid are easing themselves clear of trouble thanks to four wins and three draws from their last nine La Liga outings, with Pucela’s only defeats in that sequence coming against leaders Atletico Madrid and champions Barcelona.
Sergio’s side claimed an excellent 0-1 success at Getafe last week and while they were outclassed by Barca in their last start here, they managed to bank seven points from their three previous home games.
Valladolid haven’t beaten Valencia in over a decade, but they have a great chance to do so this weekend, with Los Che toiling in 17th place.
Javi Gracia’s men are in serious trouble after picking up just five points from their last eight league games (D5, L3) and they travel to Jose Zorrilla this Sunday having won just one of their eight away trips this season (D3, L4).
While this should be a close one, Valladolid look well priced to bag all three points and we’re also going for a 2-1 score-line. Valencia have netted in all of their away fixtures despite their issues on the road, while the hosts are yet to keep a clean sheet in their own backyard this term.
