Inter Milan to Win and Over 1.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Verona have lost three of their last five Serie A home games, shipping at least two goals on all three occasions. Meanwhile, Inter have won eight of their last nine away league contests, scoring multiple goals in six of them.

Inter Milan 2-0

Reason for tip

Inter have scored 25 goals in their last 10 away Serie A matches. The Nerazzurri are capable of getting more than a couple here, but a 2-0 win may suffice if Verona are not inclined to attack much themselves. There is nothing on the game for either team and with the Euros and Copa America tournaments possibly on the minds of some Inter players, it may be better to back a ‘job done’ scoreline like 2-0.

Davide Frattesi To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Midfielder Davide Frattesi has the highest xG per 90 minutes of the entire Nerazzurri squad and might be able to add to his six Serie A goals for the campaign this weekend. He has scored in three of Inter’s last six Serie A away games.

Champions can tame Mastiffs

Inter look likely to round off a a successful domestic campaign with a win at mid-table Verona on Sunday.

You could be forgiven for thinking Simone Inzaghi’s Scudetti-winning side have taken their foot off the gas a little since clinching the title. The Nerazurri lost 1-0 at lowly Sassuolo and let a couple of points slip at home to Lazio in two of their last three games.

But Inter thoroughly dominated those games and won 5-0 at Frosinone in the match between those slip-ups, so there is plenty of evidence to suggest they can tame the Mastiffs at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday.

Back Inter to bag a brace

Verona’s chequered form has been good enough to keep them out of trouble and their 2-1 win at Salernitana last time means they will finish at least six points better off than last season when they stayed up after winning the relegation tie-breaker.

But their only home win against a top-seven side was against Roma back in August and a leaky defence has meant they have been sunk by AC Milan, Genoa and Torino at their ground recently.

They conceded multiple goals on each of those occasions and it seems fair to expect Inter to get at least two goals if they are in the mood to finish off their campaign in style.
