Víkingur Reykjavík hoping to make history

Víkingur Reykjavík have never won a home European match, although they came pretty close in a Champions League qualifier earlier this month when drawing 3-3 with Malmo.

They lost the away leg of that tie 3-2, meaning both matches contained in excess of two goals, as have 17 of their last 19 outings.

Arnar Gunnlaugsson’s side have also seen both teams net in seven of their last eight at home, so there is a clearly a weakness in defence, although half a dozen of those fixtures have ended in victory.

The New Saints desperate to progress

The New Saints are another side who have dropped into this competition having lost in the Champions League, with their 2-1 aggregate exit at the hands of Linfield coming after extra-time in the second leg.
