Villarreal B won a chaotic ding-dong battle with Cartagena 5-2 on Sunday but their follow-up fixture against mid-table Huesca could be a less eventful encounter.

Villarreal B had trailed Cartagena 2-1 until the 73rd minute when they equalised and they went on to score three more goals in stoppage time to secure three points with their opponents having also had two players sent off in the 76th and 98th minutes.

The win left Villarreal B just above the mid-table spots in the standings coming into this weekend, only two points clear of their next opponents Huesca.

Huesca have shared the spoils in a divisional-high 15 league games this season, including five of their last six games, and their conservative approach points to another stalemate against Villarreal B.
